On April 22, 2026, as part of the State Visit to Vietnam by the President of South Korea at the invitation of General Secretary and President Tô Lâm, Mr. Kim Sung-hwan, Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment of South Korea, visited and held a working session at LS-VINA Cable & System in Hai Phong.

Minister Kim toured the company’s production facilities, including medium- and high-voltage power cable lines, underground cable systems, and advanced power transmission solutions. The delegation showed strong interest in LS-VINA’s manufacturing capabilities, technical standards, and sustainability strategy amid the global energy transition and the rapid development of smart grid technologies.

According to the Korean delegation, LS-VINA is one of LS Group’s key strategic production bases in the region, playing a critical role in supplying high-quality power cable products to both domestic and international markets, particularly for large-scale energy infrastructure projects.

Minister Kim highly commended LS-VINA’s contributions, noting that the company exemplifies successful bilateral cooperation in the industrial and energy sectors. He highlighted LS-VINA’s effective integration of Korean technological expertise with Vietnam’s skilled workforce to deliver globally competitive products. He also reaffirmed the Korean Government’s ongoing support for the development of the K-Power industry, creating favorable conditions for companies like LS-VINA to expand production, boost exports, and deepen their participation in the global energy infrastructure supply chain.

The Minister also took a commemorative photo with the leadership of LS CNS and LS-VINA.
Later that day, Minister Kim returned to Hanoi to attend the official welcoming ceremony hosted by General Secretary and President Tô Lâm for the President of South Korea and the high-level delegation.

The Minister’s visit to LS-VINA, together with his participation in high-level engagements in Hanoi, not only reflects the Korean Government’s strong support for businesses investing in Vietnam but also further reinforces LS-VINA’s position as a key regional hub for power cable manufacturing. This momentum will enable the company to expand its operations, enhance competitiveness, and contribute more significantly to the development of the power and energy infrastructure sectors in an increasingly globalized environment.
